Naturally, your questions are: What are the differences between the two? Is there any price difference? If so, do any upgrades warrant an increase in price?
So let’s start by reviewing the similarities between the two; then, the importance of any changes in upgrades. We will finally compare prices, in order to determine the best value.

LeapPad Explorer and Leapster Explorer Similarities

  3. LeapPad Explorer has a 5 inch screen, much larger than Leapster Explorer’s which is only 3.2 inches. Both screens provide good definition images for children to work with. However, LeapPad’s bigger touchscreen is more user friendly especially for younger children.
  4. The LeapPad comes with more Apps than the older Leapster Explorer. Free, downloadable Story Studio and Art Studio apps allow children to modify pictures they take and drop them into storybooks. Creativity is encouraged; kids can become stars in their own stories using combinations of written words, pictures, videos, and voice recordings.

Compare Prices

The recommended retail price for LeapPad Explorer is $99.99, whereas Leapster Explorer is $69.99. A difference of $30. As LeapPad includes camera which is a $25 accessory for Leapster, the price difference is marginal.

Life is not so kind. Reality is the Leapster Explorer as the older model is now selling at a discount and can be bought at Amazon for about $49. LeapPad Explorer being new and in high demand this Christmas is already selling at a substantial premium. You will be lucky to find one at $175 (also at Amazon), and they are being sold for as much as $250.

Conclusion

Obviously, as noted above the LeapPad Explorer has much more to offer. If price is a concern, Leapster Explorer is a better value today, and the camera may be added later as a future gift. All games cartridges are still good on either system. Alternatively, you may decide to upgrade to LeapPad Explorer at a later date, when hopefully prices have dropped. If you still want the LeapPad Explorer you had better go buy it now, otherwise if you delay, you may have difficulty finding one available – buy LeapPad Explorer. Even crowds and arenas are brought to life, no detail is omitted. You know how well your team is doing, just listen to the crowd.

Why would you ever want to buy a Nerf Vortex Vigilon?

The Blaster has been, and continues to be, a most popular toy, because all the family can join in. Nerf has produced a number of blasters which have been loved by children of all ages for many years.

Nerf Vortex Vigilon’s new discs are more fun to play with and more realistic, adding a new dimension to a classic toy. Vortex blasters have significantly increased the distance discs are projected, because of new technology Nerf has introduced with the Vortex model. Previously, foam darts were the standard.

The new technology for shooting the discs has been named ‘XLR’, which stands for “Extra Long-Range”. The Vigilon shoots discs around 30 feet. Your child, and his friends, will find this pretty impressive. However, your child must watch where they shoot the discs, otherwise they are easily lost. The discs can be used indefinitely to reload the blaster. If you need them, additional discs are available, and can be bought separately.

Also, for safety reasons train your child to be responsible, the blaster should never be aimed at anyone’s face or eyes. The discs can fly pretty far, and are painful when you get hit. Because of the safety issue and as a parent, you must consider the age appropriateness of this toy. This blaster isn’t recommended for very young children. It’s suitable for responsible kids aged eight and older.
