CAUTION: Motorized wheel toys have the potential for hair entanglement. To prevent entanglement, keep hair away from wheels. If hair gets caught by winding around a wheel, simply stop the wheel by firmly grabbing it. Next, press the back or head button once to stop motor from running. Next, slowly unwind hair from axle by turning the wheel by hand. Zhu Zhu Hamsters are not designed to be a sleep toy, remove the batteries if your child wishes to take it to bed.

In addition to having hours of fun with Zhu Zhu Pets hamsters, here’s a few other activities you and your boy and girl and their friends can enjoy!

Ready, Set, Zhu-oom! Race - A Timed Activity
Set up a race course using the Zhu Zhu Pets pieces in the set. Place the ramp, slide and car in an open area. Mark a finish line with string or tape. Each child races his/her hamster through the course to see who gets the best time. Use an egg timer during the races and award the child with the best time a special prize.

Hammy Hide-and-Seek -Team or individual activity
One child counts while the other children hide their hamsters. After counting, the child who is “it” finds each hamster. Children take turns hiding and seeking.
Optional play: Parents divide children into teams. Each team gets to hide their hamsters. When they are finished hiding them, the other team has to find them. The hiders can use the “hot and cold” method to help locate the hidden hamsters.

Great Toy, Overpriced here, October 6, 2009
This is a really cute toy and I am hoping it makes my daughters happy so I don't have to buy a REAL hamster which is what they really want(LOL). BUT, these prices are ridiculous. Amazon is fulfilling these orders through 3rd parties who are setting the prices so I don't exactly blame Amazon, BUT it is disappointing the way Amazon is marketing them. However, if you promised a little one these toys, this may be the only way to get them. Someone I know contacted the manufacturer and from what I understand the stores are only getting so many before Christmas and then thats it. Apparently they haven't been able to make enough to keep up with the demand. I spoke to someone at Walmart today and they said that they already got their allotment and they won't be getting any more before the holidays and they were sold out already. YIKES!
